Internally this meta-template uses HTML markup instead of wiki markup for the table code. That is the usual way we make meta-templates since wiki markup has several drawbacks. For instance it makes it harder to use [[m:Help:ParserFunctions|parser functions]] and special characters in parameters.

The default images for this meta-template are in png format instead of svg format. The main reason is that some older web browsers have trouble with the transparent png images. Powered operation allows people to move through it without slowing down, with the exception of stone doors. Requires a constant 50W charge to operate. [[Stockpile]]s are where [[colonists]] store items of various types. [[Colonists]] with the corresponding "hauling" job on will seek out items that aren't already on a stockpile that accepts them and carry them to an appropriate stockpile, if available. It's advised to place your stockpiles carefully to minimize the amount of time spent hauling items.

==Allocating stockpiles==

In order to place a stockpile, use the Stockpile Zone button, in the [[Zone/Area]] tab of the [[Architect]] menu . Next, simply click and drag to draw the area. If the chosen area has parts that cannot be made into a stockpile, like a [[wall]] or a workbench, a stockpile will be created but they will not be part of it.
Doing the same operation on an already existing stockpile will expand it.
When creating a stockpile, any movable items currently occupying the designated tiles will automatically be considered part of the stockpile, even if the stockpile settings disallow those particular items. Removing a stockpile works exactly the same, but with the Delete Zones button. This will erase the specified area.

==Using stockpiles==

Once a stockpile has been allocated, [[colonists]] with the right job setting will automatically move items to the stockpile when they are available, and as long as the stockpile has available space.

One method to ensure your crafter [[colonists]] have raw material on hand is to place a small stockpile next to the workbench. This will speed up production as the crafter only has to take a few steps to obtain the material (this also prevents the crafter from dragging material across the entire map). Whenever a crafter picks up material from the stockpile, your hauling [[colonists]] will automatically fetch more material to refill the stockpile. This speeds up a queue of jobs, as other [[colonists]] perform the time-consuming distant haul whilst the crafter concentrates on actually making items.

Stone walls are fire proof and highly resistant damage. They may be constructed from the Structure menu after Stonecutting has been researched. Stone walls are very effective when used as fortifications, and acting as support pillars for oversized rooms that would collapse in the middle otherwise.

Pre-existing stone walls may be found on the map, though these can not be deconstructed or repaired like the walls you build, until you [[claim]] them.

Sandbags can be placed to cover your colonists from gunfire. Raiders, colonists, squirrels, and every other unit can use these as cover, so place them in a way so enemy units cannot take advantage of your sandbags. Sandbags are destroyed completely in the event of a turret explosion.

Bullets meeting sandbags have a chance to hit the bag, and a chance to cross over it.
The sandbags also reduces movement speed for all units.

Placed on soil, a growing area designates an area where colonists with the Growing skill will plant potato seeds.

The growing area has a space of 4x6 allowing it to hold 24 potato plants at a time. Using growing areas can increase a colonies chance for survival by creating a consistent and renewable food source.

Growing areas cannot be created inside buildings or mines, as it needs an open area exposed to direct sunlight in order for the plants to grow.

Drafted colonists can target and attack the growing area, which makes it useful for training the colonists shooting ability. However, it is strongly advised to select the growing area and forbid growing on it to minimize the risk of colonists being killed in the crossfire while trying to plant potatoes.

 Category need to be structured for both Administration, Content, and File.
 Templates should only contain design and formatting, and never contain data unless its Static Information.
 Templates should always use named parameters when creating/editing the template AND during usage of the template.
 Template parameters should always include default value.
 Pages should only contain contents, and should prevent any inline design or formatting.
 Files should be kept updated with history intact. So one should update the file instead of creating a new file to replace an existing one.
 I personally dislike the use of sub-pages, however they have their place...
