Template:TNT Some features in the game can be exploited to train your colonists.

Artistic training

This skill isn't implemented yet, no known training.

Construction training

This build don't rely on any kind of bug, exploit or mods, it also trains the Shooting-skill at the same time: Combined building and shooting training

The important thing to keep in mind with this build is to know witch way the colonists walks, they must at any given time have a closer path to the safe side than to the dangerous, the dangerous side is obviously the side where they are shooting at.

  1. Create rectangular room
  2. Make an entrance in each end of the room
  3. Divide the room with a Stone Wall at the closer end (closer to where the colonists comes from), but leave a 3 tiles gap (to not have cramped environment)
  4. Now you have a "closer" and a "further" room, the closer room trains repairing, the further room trains scooting.
  5. Draft a colonist and order him to the further room
  6. press F and aim him at the wall
  7. the hits from the gun will damage the wall and colonists will come and repair it if they are properly "designated" in the Overview Menu-

Shooting training

By drafting a colonist and order him to attack something indestructible, you can train them to become better at shooting, besides the "training" they gets when the colony are under attack.

The game doesn't have a proper intended target for practice, so various other exploits can be used instead.
Actually a method of training have been discovered that don't rely on any bug or other exploit and it don't uses any mod:
