A sun lamp is a lamp that is used to continue the growth of plants indoors or outside, even when no sunlight is shining.
Sun lamps are primarily used indoors near hydroponics tables in order to provide the indoor plants with light that is bright enough for the plants to grow without sunlight. If a sun lamp is left outside, it can become a potential hazard if it begins to rain.
