The Cocoa trees is a plant not native to any biome, and can be grown to produce chocolate.
Unlike most trees, cutting them down does not yield any useful wood. Also unlike trees, when exposed to extreme temperatures, instead of going dormant, they will die like any crop. Cocoa trees cannot be grown inside a greenhouse, which makes cultivation difficult in cold biomes. It is necessary to complete a research named cocoa tree to be able to plant it. A prerequisite research for this research is tree planting. Both researches cost 1000 Research points each.
