A standing lamp is a furniture item that produces light at 60% up to seven squares away.
By placing standing lamps inside of dark rooms, it eliminates the debuff "In darkness" which makes the colonists unhappy to be in unlit areas.
If placed outside, the lamp may short circuit if it rains.
