No, yields aren't approximated, but actual yield is determined by the butcher's butchery efficiency. Looks like your butcher has about 90% butchery efficiency. The correct values appear to be 87 leather and 490 meat. Even though yields are normally calculated by a formula, the 140 value is explicitly set on the thrumbo page. 140 is not correct, but neither is the formula, but I don't yet know why. I'll try to figure it out, or at least will put the correct numbers. Plus the infobox needs to be tweaked so that if the meat yield is specified, it doesn't list the meat name twice.
