Flatscreen televisions can be constructed after the [[Research#Flatscreen television|Flatscreen Television]] research has been completed, using the Recreation tab of the [[Architect]] menu. They require {{Required Resources}}s, {{Ticks|{{P|Work To Make}}}} of work to make and a [[Construction]] skill of 8.

The flatscreen television has an entertainment strength factor of 140%.

Flatscreen televisions placed facing [[hospital bed]]s can allow recovering pawns to watch TV for [[recreation]]al purposes. This can be very useful, as the only other option that bed-bound pawns have requires another colonist to talk to them, and joy-less colonists suffer terrible mood penalties.

Flatscreen televisions can be used for resource compression, compressing 59.7 kg of 105 [[steel]] and 12 [[components]] into a mere 8 kilos. This allows you to carry 7 times the weight you normally would on a caravan, but means that you will lose 25 percent of the 140 steel and 16 components.
