An autodoor allows colonists passage through walls or dug rock. It acts like a power conduit and needs a direct link to a wall or to a power conduit to open/close quickly and distribute power.


Although it still opens if not powered, colonists have to manually open it, which requires much more time to open and close it.


In order to save power, it´s recommended use doors only in order to separate the outside and inside of your colony (to keep those pesky boomrats out) and in order to create personal rooms. Power conduits may be used elsewhere to connect separated walls.
