Firefoam is a flame-retardant foam that extinguishes fire on contact and prevents fire from spreading on tiles it covers. It acts as a form of Filth, creating a signifincant beauty and cleanliness penalty. It also causes to be slowed by aproximately 25% when walking on foamed tiles. Firefoam will wash away with rain or snow, or can be cleaned by colonists if the affected tiles are in the home area.
Firefoam is generally released in an explosion. This explosion does no damage but will disable shield belts in its radius. The explosion will put out pawns and animals that are on fire, but the foam coating the ground will not.
