This article is a stub. You can help RimWorld Wiki by expanding it. Reason: Needs a general gas format standard that can also be used for blind smoke and tox gas - below is a rough suggestion but only a suggestion. |
Rot gas is a gas created by rotting food and corpses. It can cause Lung rot.
Causes
<what causes it and how much e.g. does 1 rice create as much as 1 thrumbo corpse>
Mechanics
Minor: visible when reaching 15%, up to 35% Major: 35-50% Serious: 50%
Values go down very slowly when out of rot stink.
Thoughts (only if currently in rot stink or right after):
Rot stink. - 10 mood debuff ("A rotten stink invades my nostrils and sticks to my skin. It makes me sick.") Awful rot stink. -16 mood debuff ("The stench of rot is so thick I almost feel like I'm swimming in it. I can hardly breathe in this filth!") Rot stink lingering. -6 mood debuff ("That rot stink was horrible - and it feels like it's still stuck to me.")
The chance to develop lung rot increases as the severity of rot stink increases. Lung rotlasts 6-8 (?) days. If it reaches 100% it will kill the pawn. Lung rot (almost?) always effects both lungs.
Lung rot effects (usually double as shown, as lung rot appears in both lungs):
Minor: pain 5%, breathing -5%, 0-60% severity Major: pain 5%. breathing -10% 60-85% severity Extreme: pain 10%, breathing -15%, consciousness -10%. 85-100%
