In RimWorld, your colonists are able to build structures from the ground up, according to the blueprints you decide.
The following structures are available:
Stockpile area
Stockpile area | |
---|---|
File:AreaStockpile.png | |
Size | 6x6 |
Your colonists will haul all resources (metal, food, etc...) to the nearest stockpile area.
(Build 203) Removing your last stockpile area can make the game crash. Template:Clr
Dumping area
Dumping area | |
---|---|
Size | 4x4 |
Your colonists will dump debris, bodies and animal corpses in dumping areas.
Each separate dumping area can be assigned to be able to receive colonists' bodies, strangers' bodies and animal corpses or not.
Each placed debris/body/corpse takes one space, limiting the amount of available dumping spaces to 16 per dumping area.

Sandbags

Size | 1x1 |
HP | ? |
Sandbags can be placed to cover your structures and your colonists from gunfire.
It also reduces movement speed when crossed.

Smooth stone

---|---|
Size | 1x1 |
Movement | ?% |
Note | Requires Rough stone to build on |
This flooring does not require any metal to be constructed, but it needs to be placed on rough stone and takes a greater amount of time to be completed than artificial flooring above. Template:Clr
Wall
Wall | |
---|---|
Size | 1x1 |
Movement | 0% |
HP | 400 |
Note | Needs power |
Walls are used to prevent movement and/or to enclose space, adding automatically roofs over such enclosed space.
Act as a power conduit if powered.
Template:Clr
Door
Door | |
---|---|
Size | 1x1 |
HP | 150 |
Note | Needs power |
A door allows colonists passage through walls or dug rock.
Although it still opens if not powered , colonists have to manually open it, which require much more time to open it and to close it.
Template:Clr
Power conduit
Power Conduit | |
---|---|
Size | 1x1 |
HP | ? |
Note | Conducts power (5 tiles) |
A power conduit distributes power between generator and appliances.
It can power appliances up to 5 squares away.
Template:Clr
Standing lamp
Standling lamp | |
---|---|
Size | 1x1 |
HP | ? |
Note | Power needed: 150 W |
A standing lamp lights a round surface with a radius 5 around it when it's powered.
Does not conduct power.
Template:Clr
Sun lamp
Sun lamp | |
---|---|
Size | 1x1 |
HP | 50 |
Note | Power needed: 600 W |
A sun lamp is required to grow foods indoors on Hydroponic Tables.
Does not conduct power.
