Uranium
A dark, heavy metal. While it is best known as a fuel for nuclear devices, its extreme density and hardness also make it good for making certain weapons, armor, and ammunition.

Uranium is the most rare material available. It can be mined from hills and mountains as well as extracted from deep underground using a deep drill. Small amounts of it can be salvaged from deconstructing ancient cryptosleep caskets. It's also acquirable from Bulk goods traders, Exotic goods traders and random Cargo pods. It is an essential material to build the end game ship.
Playing in Large or Ludeonicrous maps (of 300x300 or 400x400 tiles respectively) offer greater chance of finding it on the surface.
Ore
Uranium ore comes in veins of 1 up to a possible 6. Every block of ore drops 35 uranium when mined.
