Craters are terrain blockers left behind by massive explosions.
Acquisition[edit]
| This section is a stub. You can help RimWorld Wiki by expanding it. Reason: 1) Natural generatkon in scarlands etc? 2) All likely candidates need to be tested and confirmed yes or no - aerodrone strikes, doomsdays, hellspheres, orbital bombardment etc. Add testing candidates and then tag woth yes or no of they generate craters. dont just remove candiates.. |
Craters are created when an antigrain IED or shell explodes on a cell. They can also be left behind after orbital debris
impacts in orbit.
Summary[edit]
| This section could use some more or updated images. You can help RimWorld Wiki by uploading images to make this section better. Note: Gizmo/s. |
Craters are like a mix of blast marks and pit burrows.
Craters are temporary battle scars left from explosions that need to be cleared before the land they're on can be used to support buildings. If you attempt to set down a workbench on the edge, you will see a message stating "Interaction spot blocked by crater." While placing any building in the center will display the message "space already occupied." To remove a crater, use the "fill in" gizmo that appears when selecting the crater(s). After that, a pawn with construction work enabled will move over to begin filling in the crater.[How much work?]
After the crater has been filled in, it creates filth on the ground labeled "loose ground" in a cross formation.
You can lay flooring down under the crater, and it will not affect the floor tiles,[Meaning] nor will filling in the crater remove the flooring underneath.
