Talk:EMP mortar/Mortar - EMP mortar - Incendiary mortar
Quote: Redid revision on first line, as the "can be manually set forced target" part of the sentence should come after the fact that it fires automatically, not after the minimum range. Deleted misleading statement about drafted colonists, and more.
Need to be more specific as to what is your "argument" when saying "should". The early revision has a division between "Automatic" and "Manual", to separate two different ways to use it. By altering that line, "should" alone doesn't indicate which is the reason behind your changes.
Can you as well explain why the statement about drafted colonists sounds misleading to you? In normal combat, once the battle is over drafted colonists will un-draft automatically but not those operating the mortars.
"More" alone is also a vague word.
Due to the continuous redos, it's much better if you approach changes on pages by using their respective talk pages instead. Some things to take into account for future edits. The first paragraph gives the overall idea and each subsequent paragraph details each particular details. Avoid addressing the same concept through all the paragraphs but use each for a particular aspect. Also, avoid writing information that already exists elsewhere. For example in the Mortar page, there is no need to bring in content that is already in mortar shell by introducing "Ammo" there. Because if every other element that is connected to it starts to stack up on single pages, then by starting in Mortar, we would be going through the branches with "Ammo",... then ammo needs "Chemfuel" and "Steel",...chemfuel needs "Wood" and Steel needs to be "Mined"...and by continuing this way, then the content of all the other pages would be included too, to the points that all the game content would be repeated in every other single page...bloating content unnecessarily. Just keep to the main topic. The only reason other elements should be included to one single page is if the others are still nonexistent, but even then, it's much better to create those pages rather than stuffing every thing.
Again, instead of going directly to the pages, talk pages will considerably reduce the reworks, specially in "family" pages like this one where similar edits must be done to all related (consistency).
