I agree ALL those changes are good.
I've always intended to reorganize characters types into a main type called Pawns, and a page called Pawns (or Pawn, subtle difference, but significant). But there are several pages to consider updating and/or renaming, specifically Characters, Character Types, Human, and Colonist. Even raiders and prisoners have their own page. It'll take a bit of planning to sort it all out, but for now I would stick with the Pawns (character types) link exactly as you have it there.
