"raw dirt will not collect mere 'dirt' from foot traffic"
I may be misunderstanding, but this statement does not match my game experience. Could it be that outdoors soil floor cannot host "dirt" while indoors soil floors can?

There should(!) not be any diff - a floor defined as "soil" is soil whether it has walls around it or a roof over it - still "soil", period. There are several articles noting that a dirt floor is a "safer" starting floor for a starting kitchen, b/c it cannot get any dirtier than "dirt" (unlike constructed floors). However, any surface (even soil) can collect "trash" and things like vomit/blood/rubble/etc. If you mouse-hover over what you are saying is "dirtier-than-dirt" soil, what do you see listed in the lower left corner of the screen?Albedo (talk) 01:23, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
The exact text is:
"Constructed Roof
Dirt x1
Soil (walk speed 87% fert. 100%)
Lit(50%)"
The beauty display rates the tile at -18 beauty, and I can command a colonist to prioritize cleaning it.
