Glow pods are a temporary light source. Glow pods can only be acquired from hives which makes them very rare, but they cannot be sold to any faction. As of game version 1.2.2753, they cannot be uninstalled and reinstalled upon being spawned, but after a few hours it should be movable. They last for 20 in game days (1 season and 5 days).

Lighting[edit]

The white area (2 tiles out) is 50% illumination, required for best surgery success chance; the yellow (3rd tile) represents 30% or better, adequate for all general labor, avoiding mood penalties, and for growing decorative plants indoors in plant pots.

Glow pods provide adequate lighting (50% - 30%) in a 3 tile radius beyond the occupied tile.
