Skulls can be extracted from human corpses with the Extract Skull command. It takes 180 ticks (3 secs) of work to extract a skull. This destroys head and reduces the amount of meat and leather extracted from the corpse. It is unknown whether this reduces the market value extracted from the corpse by a greater amount than is gained from the skull.
These skulls can then be used to make skullspikes.
