Cryptosleep casket
The cryptosleep casket is used to contain a humanoid or animal in a state of suspended animation. It may be constructed from the Misc menu after it has been researched.
During cryptosleep humanoids will not age biologically. They will only age chronologically. A cryptosleep casket may be used to store a colonist during a crisis, such as an intense psychic wave or severe medicine shortage, until the problem is resolved.
Cryptosleep caskets may also be found on the map in a room tied to the Ancient Danger special event. These cryptosleep caskets are almost always occupied, either by humanoids or animals and occasionally with mechanoids guarding them, but the information panel will show the contents as 'unknown'. If disturbed, each of the caskets will release their occupants which are often hostile. An empty cryptosleep casket may be claimed and used by the colony as its own.
After waking from cryptosleep a humanoid will have cryptosleep sickness for a short time, which reduces consciousness and manipulation and causes vomiting.
The cryptosleep casket is visually and functionally identical to the ship cryptosleep casket, except a cryptosleep casket is not a ship component and therefore can be placed anywhere. Another difference is that a colonist in a cryptosleep casket can only be removed by another colonist using the 'Open' designator, whereas a colonist may eject themselves from a ship cryptosleep casket.
When a cryptosleep casket is severely damaged it will spark briefly then explode. Nearby flammables may catch fire.
