A monument is a type of quest added by the Royalty DLC. An entity (a noble, a faction leader, or an AI Persona) will contact you, requesting you build a monument. The monument will scale in size to your wealth, with monument requests sent in the early game only requiring a few walls and a column, while late-game monuments take up large portions of the map. The monument will generally consist of:
- Walls
- Tables
- Columns
- Floors
- (insert more here)
Sometimes, the quest giver may require you to protect the monument for a certain amount of days. Deconstructing, destroying, or altering the structure in any way will fail the quest, and sometimes will inflict a penalty on the player. An enforcement protocol of the quest giver will activate, creating threats such as infestations and mech clusters.
