I'm confused because the purpose of the building is to reduce the sangophage's dependancy on blood, but the building itself requires blood to run. So... i'm confused if there's any real economy made in the progress?

Ok so let's do the math. 2 accelerators gets you 2.5 days of deathrest, the amp consumes 0.5 packs a day, or 1.25 per deathrest. Without the accelerator it's 4 days or 2 packs.
A Sanguophage consumes 1 pack every 2 days by default, and deathrest every 30 days. The amp increases the hemogen you get by 25% so 15 packs reduces to 12 for a saving of 3 packs.
If you Sanguophage also uses their abilities, they'll need more much hemogen to make it, which makes it even more efficient.
Tldr yes there is economy but esp with deathrest accelerators and when you're using your hemogen consuming abilities....assuming I did the math right.
It might be an idea to write this up into an analysis and stick it on the page of you want to take a Stab at it. It was a good question and one others will probably have.
