Void sculpture
An unsettling sculpture made from bioferrite. The psychic properties of bioferrite enhance the quality of any psychic rituals performed nearby.
Up to six void sculptures can connect to a psychic ritual spot.

Void sculptures are sculptures added by the Anomaly DLC that enhance the quality of psychic rituals.
Acquisition[edit]
Void sculptures can be crafted at an art bench once the Void sculptures research project has been completed. Note that this research requires dark study to unlock. Each requires
50 Bioferrite and 24,000 ticks (6.67 mins) of work modified by the general labor speed of the crafter.
Void sculptures can also drop from destroyed flesh sacks,
with a ~ 1.17% chance of appearing.
Summary[edit]
Void sculptures provide a bonus to the quality of psychic rituals when placed within range of the psychic ritual spot used.
The bonus to ritual quality scales with the quality of the sculpture as follows:

Up to 6 sculptures can be linked to a single spot, for a hypothetical limit of +30% with all legendaries.
If more than 6 sculptures are nearby, the sculptures nearest to the psychic ritual spot will be selected, not the sculptures with the highest quality.
Meditation[edit]
Void sculptures have the Artistic mediation psyfocus type.
It shares similar mechanics to other sculpture types, where the highest quality sculpture is the focus and other sculptures add a small secondary bonus. However, void sculptures do not contribute towards the secondary sculpture bonus for void sculptures or regular sculptures, while regular sculptures always contribute towards the secondary bonus.
The highest quality sculpture is the primary source of psyfocus:

The maximum meditation focus strength is thus 44% for a legendary sculpture surrounded by 8 additional non-void sculptures of masterwork or legendary quality.
In addition, void sculptures contribute towards a psychic ritual spot's Void meditation focus. Each void sculpture adds +2% meditation focus to the spot. for up to 6 sculptures, independent of sculpture quality. Note that void sculptures do not count towards Void focus on their own.
Analysis[edit]
Void sculptures take a lot of work to create and have a fairly small impact on ritual quality, but since bioferrite is plentiful with sufficient containment facilities, it should be built once bioferrite and an artist's time is in surplus. Because a ritual spot can only have 6 void sculptures linked to it, it is important to maximize quality. Provided enough high-quality sculptures, it is possible to reach the cap of 100% ritual quality, dramatically improving the outcome of the ritual.
Note that traders will not buy void sculptures, so if you're going to mass-produce them in order to maximize quality, it is recommended to deconstruct low-quality sculptures to reduce bioferrite loss, or use them in other areas of the base.
For beauty purposes, it is typically better to make large sculptures of other materials as large sculptures provide more beauty/tile. Void sculptures may have merit if non-bioferrite materials are not readily available, e.g., in a sea ice colony, as bioferrite is terrible for other sculptures.
Meditation[edit]
If building the base around the void monolith, meditating towards that would provide a better Void meditation focus than a psychic ritual spot can even with the bonuses. Otherwise, a psychic ritual spot boosted by 4 shard beacons and 6 void sculptures is the best Void focus available.
For pawns with both Artistic and Void focus types, using any type of sculpture as Artistic meditation offers a higher base and cap than a psychic ritual spot, with a legendary sculpture equaling a fully maxed out psychic ritual spot on its own. If high enough quality sculptures can be made then standard Artistic is the better meditation focus.
Pawns with both Natural and Void focus types can use void focus in order to not have to walk so far away. The anima tree, large nature shrine, and animus stone offer greater base focus than a psychic ritual spot's maximum, assuming no artifical penalty and ignoring travel time, but the travel time spent can make void focus better for psyfocus gain.
