A kit of advanced ultra-tech medical supplies, probably manufactured on a distant glitterworld. It contains advanced polymorphic drugs, nanite diagnostic and healing assisters, a mini-imager, and various multi-use tools.

Glitterworld medicine is produced using highly advanced techniques and technology only found on Glitterworlds. It is the most powerful medicine in RimWorld, being 60% more powerful than ordinary medicine, and over twice as powerful as herbal medicine. Like other medicines, glitterworld medicine is used in doctoring practices. It is also used to provide materials for the Bioregeneration cycle of the biosculpter podContent added by the Ideology DLC.

Acquisition

Glitterworld medicine cannot be crafted, however, it may be purchased from exotic goods traders or faction bases for around 55 - 70 silver. It can also be give as a quest reward, found on some raiders, given as a gift by a visiting caravan, or found in ancient shrines.

A noble Content added by the Royalty DLC of Baron/Baroness or higher can use the "Glitterworld medicine drop" permit to call for a drop of 5 glitterworld medicine. This permit can be used once every 45 days and costs 8 honor if used within the cooldown time.

Finally, the Rich Explorer starting scenario begins with 30 glitterworld medicine.

In addition to its use as a stronger form of medicine, glitterworld medicine is also specifically called for in several circumstances:

Analysis

All colonists have glitterworld medicine as their highest level of medicine usage by default. Doctors always use the best medicine available, which means they will use glitterword medicine any time a colonist needs medicine, even if herbal medicine or even no medicine would be sufficient. Due to its price and the difficulty to acquire it compared to other types of medicine, this can be a huge waste. This can be gotten around in a number of ways. One is to forbid any glitterworld medicine you have until it's needed, which will stop doctors from touching it. Another is to set all colonists' medicine level to industrial-tech medicine, which will make that the best medicine available to them. Just remember to unforbid or allow glitterworld medicine usage when it's needed.

In terms of its optimal use in regards to its medical potency: Glitterworld medicine is best used in surgical operations and bringing people from the brink of death when it comes to diseases such as the dreaded plague. In the case of wound treatment and normal disease treatment, it is significantly overkill unless you have a highly incompetent doctor who simply can't get the job done with ordinary medicine.
