Add this page to your watchlist and stay on top of things! New to wikis? In case you need some help with editing pages, Wikipedia's "How to edit a page" article is a great source of information. Transclusion: Some pages display text from another page by using a special markup to transclude it. Editing the text must be done on the page from which the text is transcluded. For example, when editing the page Character Types you'll see {{:Colonist}} which is markup text that automatically copies text from the page Colonist. How to help out Recent changes shows the latest page updates in this wiki and clicking on the (diff/hist) is the easiest way to learn common practices. Stub articles, are pages in need of additional content, an easy way to get started. When you get better, check the list of articles intended for rewrite and improve already filled pages that need better "noise-sound" ratio. Friendly readability and concise, structured writing. Another helpful activity is to check wanted pages list, frequently linked-to articles that don't exist yet and can be started from blank free of remarks. Tag maintenance templates Category:Templates or RimWorld Wiki:Templates to pages that you think had been overlooked and need to be polished. Upload and add some images! Visit Special:Upload. Add them [[Category:Images]]. Check for spelling and punctuation mistakes/errors. You can also create "New pages" for missing pages but your account must have at least 10 edits a priori, this is configuration to prevent vandal bots. If you don't meet the count yet, just perform any of the above mentioned tasks to rise your count. Want to discuss stuff? If you want to discuss anything specific to an article, you can use the Discussion page for that article. For more general discussions you can use the Discussion tab of this page. Current discussions Templates need to be separated instead of all in one. Also some infoboxes are larger than the page content itself, they need to be short and simple instead, which is natural to wikis. Announcements Currently there is a new chat system in place- however this system has not been updated to new pages, so for most of the pages the chat is not working properly. Existing talk pages will have to be manually deleted to refresh and update them, so, for now, should you wish to discuss something please first leave a note on the talk page, which may then be deleted to refresh it if it is out of date. Also, page creation is disabled for all editors with fewer than 10 edits- in order to create pages, either ask a moderator to create one or do the appropriate edits. Fix any double redirects by redirecting the first page to the third page. Check for broken redirects and either mark them for deletion or find a more appropriate target. Consider splitting up very long pages into different pages or subpages. Create some links on dead end pages. Add more... Translation Note: The translation extension is disabled.
