Building
Sun blockers are mechanoid cluster and quest condition causers that block all sunlight, preventing natural plant growth. As a world event, it blocks the sun in a 10 world-tile radius.
Analysis
Sun blockers can be very helpful when combined with the Combat in Darkness: Prefered precept , providing a massive accuracy boost when outside. However, sun blockers still come with the work and move speed penalties in darkness (negated by Lighting: Darklight Prefered), and prevent regular crop growth (though nutrifungus can). All three come with penalties or restrictions while the sun still shines, but Fluid ideoligions can add memes / precepts after a sunblocker lands.
Trivia
When generated as part of a quest site, the site will not contain any electrical equipment, as these are usually powered by solar panels.
Verison history
- 1.3.3101 - Sun blockers will now not be selected as a threat if any colonist or prisoner has a ideoligion with the Darkness or Tunneler memes.
