Obsidian (ore) is a rare natural structure that can be mined to obtain obsidian.
Occurrence[edit]
Mineral obsidian veins can only spawn in maps with the Obsidian deposits feature, exclusive to Lava fields[Verify][Detail needed].
Summary[edit]
Obsidian tiles have 1,200 health each, making them one of the fastest ores to mine. Each mined block has a base yield of 40 obsidian, however this is modified by factors such as the Difficulty setting and the Mining yield of the pawn.
Analysis[edit]
Mining obsidian ore is the best way to acquire obsidian, a great material for crafting sharp melee weapons like longswords. Veins are large enough to yield the materials for a few longswords. With several veins spawning per map it's feasible to spam craft obsidian weapons to farm high quality weapons.
