Tox Gas usage

so the page says shamblers can suffer from tox gas however the Shambler Hediff under this page says it gives 100% toxic resistance, so i'm starting to think this is only connected to the tox gas effect itself rather then toxic buildup and presumably they would have to be human shamblers since animals and entities don't get affected by tox gas but only the toxic buildup
