Small nature shrine
This article relates to content added by Royalty (DLC). Please note that it will not be present without the DLC enabled. |
Small nature shrine
A small shrine for honoring spiritual beings. Tribal psycasters can focus on this shrine while meditating to increase psyfocus gain. Nature shrines lose their power if they are close to artificial structures, so they are always built in nature. Since they look like natural objects to unobservant outsiders, raiders will generally ignore them.

A Small nature shrine is a type of furniture added by the Royalty DLC at which a pawn can meditate for recreation and to regain psyfocus.
Acquisition[edit]
Small nature shrines can be constructed, each requiring 150 Stuff (Metallic/Woody/Stony, 1500 for SMVs) and 15,000 ticks (4.17 mins) of work modified by the construction speed of the builder and the work to build factor and offset of the material.
Summary[edit]
This article is a stub. You can help RimWorld Wiki by expanding it. Reason: Raider avoidance mechanic - ensure parity with all other similar items. |
Small nature shrines are a natural meditation focus. They have a base meditation focus strength of 22%. Each animus stone within 9.9 tiles increases the meditation effectiveness by +2%, up to a total of four stones for a maximum of +8%.
Like other natural focus objects, its effectiveness is reduced by artificial buildings within a 34.9 tile radius. Note that this does not include flooring and torch lamps. The reduction is set by the following curve:
Artificial items in range |
Strength offset |
Graph |
---|---|---|
0 | 0% | |
5 | − 6% | |
10 | −12% | |
50 | −22% |
The maximum meditation focus strength is thus 30% for a small nature shrine with no artificial buildings within 34.9 tiles and surrounded by four animus stones.
Small nature shrines also give +1% psyfocus per day to other nearby natural foci, for a total of +4% with four nature shrines.
Analysis[edit]
This section is a stub. You can help RimWorld Wiki by expanding it. Reason: Better comparison of nature options, and when to use this if ever. Some mention of other focus also valuable. |
Small nature shrines can be used to boost the psyfocus gain of the anima tree. If you can obtain them, animus stones are superior, but animus stones aren't a common item.
They can also be used for psyfocus if the anima tree is unavailble. The large nature shrine gives +8% psyfocus for only 150 wood / stone / steel more. If you cannot justify the cost of the large nature shrine, then the small shrine is a subsitute.
