Adding Property:Effective Limit to capacity pages

Some of the pages have a statement about the currently maximum reachable value. I wondered if it would be useful to add this as a property. This way we could access it on other stat or capacity pages. I thought the name "Effective Limit" or "Effective Maximum" would be good. This would be useful in order to give the reader a quick overview what the range of achievable values is. Take this example:

Blood Pumping: 20% importance, no allowed defect. No Max.

I would like to be able to automatically change it to something like:

Blood Pumping: 20% importance, no allowed defect. No Max (effectively 190%).

I tried to add [[Effective Limit::1.9|190%]] to the Blood Pumping page but it would create a link for some reason. Any advise?

PS: Hope I explained it good enough :)

Thats a good idea. I dislike having the "Effective Maximum" on pages when they're manual edits, as they will never be kept up to date just due to how many there are and how many are everywhere. Having updates done automatically from the main capacity page is a solid idea.

The reason it adds it as a link is because the property doesn't (didn't) exist yet, and it defaults to assuming that the data for that property is a page and thus requires a link. You can get around this by simply creating the page and setting the type. You can see a list of types here: https://www.semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:List_of_datatypes

In this instance, you want "Number", you can set that with either Template: Property with Page, [[has type::Number]], the normal set command to set "has type" and a number of different options.

I've set up Property:Effective Maximum (figured maximum was clearly than limit) so you should be able to assign that as you like.

Thanks for the explanation! Next time I'll do it myself ;)
