Extracts usable metal from slag chunks and other mixed metal items. Consumes a lot of power.

Extracts usable steel from steel slag chunks and from weapons. You need to research electric smelting before you can build an electric smelter.
To smelt items, select the table and click on "Bills" then "Add Bill". In the bill for smelting weapons the player may click 'Config' to choose which weapons to be smelted. Ensure that at least one colonist has the crafting skill enabled.
Smelting does not provide crafting experience.
