IED firefoam trap
A pair of firefoam shells connected to a touch-activated trigger. Since it is hidden in the surrounding terrain, it cannot be placed adjacent to other traps. Animals can sense these when calm.

Spreading firefoam isn't an efficient combat tactic, and may even help the enemy by extinguishing them while burning and fireproofing the area they're in. Still, the trap might buy you a little time especially if chained together, due to the slight slowing effects of firefoam.
