The Potato Plant is a domesticated plant which yields 14 potatoes at 100% growth. Requires 5.8 days (or 10.55 days when accounting for nightly resting period) with full light in optimal temperature range to reach maturity. It's high tolerance to ground fertility makes it efficient for growing in soil with poor fertility like gravel.
The Potato Plant is a well rounded crop that balances growing labor with a reliable harvest. Potato plants take 10-11 days to mature in ideal conditions, producing a 14 potato yield. A modest climate allows 2 yearly harvests with a chance for a complete or partial third harvest. The potato plant's greatest advantage is their hardiness, growing well in normal soil and suffering little penalty in low fertility gravel. This strength is also its greatest weakness, giving crops little bonus in rich soil. Colonies can't go wrong with growing potatoes as their staple crop, although more specialized plants should be explored for the best results.
