A Christmas tree is a ritual focus added by the Ideology DLC.

Acquisition[edit]

Christmas trees can be constructed, each requiring Wood 70 Wood, Steel 20 Steel and 10,000 ticks (2.78 mins) of work modified by the construction speed of the builder. Christmas trees can be constructed by pawns with an ideoligion that has them as a building.

Summary[edit]

Christmas trees are used in the Christmas tree ritual. Once the ritual is completed, the tree is destroyed.

Analysis[edit]

Christmas trees are a poor focus object for rituals. They require steel, which is generally in high demand. It is almost strictly inferior to the effigy, which costs slightly more wood but does not require steel and requires less work to construct.
