Steel tile is a type of floor. It is naturally clean, non-flammable, and neutral beauty-wise.
Acquisition[edit]
Steel tiles can be crafted once the smithing research project has been completed. Each requires 7 Steel, 800 ticks (13.33 secs) of work modified by the general labor speed of the crafter, and a construction skill of 3.
Summary[edit]
Steel tiles have a +0.2 cleanliness value, and have a cleaning time multiplier of 60%. Unlike silver and gold tile, steel tile is not considered a fine floor for nobles in the Royalty DLC.
Analysis[edit]
This section is a stub. You can help RimWorld Wiki by expanding it. Reason: Account for new cleaning time factor, sterile vs steel for hospitals and research labs. |
Unlike steel furniture and walls, steel tile will not burn. It can be constructed out of 7 steel, making it the second most expensive steel-type flooring.
Steel tile provides less cleanliness per tile and per silver (0.0125/ vs 0.025/ ) than sterile tile but it has a greater beauty (0 vs -1).
Version history[edit]
- ? - Renamed from "metal tile" at some point, possibly with the introduction of other metal tiles like the gold and silver tiles.

- 1.4.3523 - Cleaning time factor added.
