Raw fungus is a raw food obtained by harvesting fungi. If the Ideology DLC is enabled, eating it is disliked by most pawns.

Note that of these, only nutrifungus can be planted. The rest only spawn naturally.

Summary

When used in food recipes (e.g. a fine meal), raw fungus is classified as a vegetable.

In RimWorld core it cannot be farmed, making it at best a random and situational source of vegetables.

With the Ideology DLC, fungus can be farmed by harvesting nutrifungus. Colonists with the "Tunneler" meme get a +6 mood bonus when they consume raw or cooked fungus. All non-Tunneler colonists despise the taste of fungus and receive a −6 mood penalty after eating raw fungus and a −3 mood penalty for fungus within a cooked meal. It is also used to fuel the fungus darktorch.
