Melee Combat
The yorkshire terrier is a small, fluffy dog originally bred for show. They may be chosen as one of the starter pets. Some consider it useless, but the mood boost it gives by nuzzling can outweigh the cost of feeding it. Good for leveling the Animal skill among colonists with very low Animal skill. Note that raising Animal skill by one point will likely raise Hunting Stealth by much more than one point. (Confirmed 7 point stealth boost from raising Animal skill from 4 to 5 on one pawn).
Taming
Yorkshire terriers are notable for having no minimum colonist skill to train.
