Warg
Warg
"Heavily-muscled wolf-like creatures. If disturbed in the wild, they are very likely to attack. Scientists say wargs are the descendants of weaponized military animals created for population suppression. The superstitious see them as the tools of an angry god. They will only eat meat or corpses."

Melee Combat
Wargs are cold-loving, wolf-like carnivores that roam through temperate forests, boreal forests, and tundra. While most carnivores can eat meat, corpses, kibble, and meals, Wargs can only eat raw meat and corpses.
Manhunter Pack
Wargs can appear naturally on the map, but may also appear when triggered by the manhunter pack event. Any warg that appears during the event will arrive in a mood state of Broken: Manhunter which drives them to seek out and attack your colonists and any other human not indoors.
As of version 0.14.1234 (15 July 2016) some wargs in a manhunter pack will attempt to break down doors periodically, though any moderately-skilled constructor should be able to repair the damage faster than it can be inflicted.
Attacks
Wargs have two attacks: scratch (paw) and bite (teeth). Both attacks apply a stun for 6.67 seconds on their first strike when hunting.
Taming
Wargs can be tamed by a handler with at least a 5 in animal skill. Wargs can also be purchased pre-tamed from bulk goods traders or one can be spawned at the start of a game as the starting pet. They breed quickly and are fairly strong fighters, though you will need a steady supply of meat or human corpses to keep them fed as they won't accept any other food sources (not even meals). As allowing your wargs to feed on human corpses doesn't generate bad thoughts, zoning your wargs into a human corpse freezer is an efficient way of getting rid of corpses and keeping your wargs fed at the same time.
Training
Wargs are reasonably easy to train with a wildness rating of 60% and a required handling skill of 5. They can learn any skill in the game, with adults being of sufficient size to haul goods and rescue colonists at high speeds.
Wargs can be trained as follows:
