The pollution pump is a building added by the Biotech DLC that gradually clears pollution in a radius around itself when powered.
Acquisition[edit]
Pollution pumps can be constructed once the electricity research project has been completed. Each requires 75 Steel, 1 Component, 4,000 ticks (1.11 mins) of work modified by the construction speed of the builder, and a construction skill of 3.
Summary[edit]
When powered, pollution pumps turn pollution on the ground into toxic wastepacks. It takes 200 W of power to function. It has a radius of 10.9 tiles. It removes 1 tile[Which?] of pollution every 15,000 ticks (4.17 mins), or 4 tiles per game-day. Once 6 tiles of pollution have been removed, it creates a wastepack, or a wastepack every 1.5 days assuming sufficient pollution is in range.
The wastepacks then have to be managed as normal, lest they dissolve back into pollution.
Pollution pumps are not considered artificial for purposes such as the anima tree.
