Hares are a fast-moving cold-loving species found in the boreal forests and tundra. Not being a social creature they are seen foraging for plants alone. Their small bodies with limited health means that they are easily killed with one shot from a bolt-action rifle.

Tamed hares have a niche use as caravan animals. While they can't serve as pack animals, their high move speed will increase the move speed of the caravan as map move speed is based on the average speed of all human and animal caravan members. Being herbivores, they can also graze for free while in moving in a caravan.
