Muffalo are slow-moving, grass-grazing quadrupeds analogous to Buffalo. When enraged, they can melee and can become a threat to colonists due to their high health. They provide a large quantity of leather compared to other creatures that spawn in the same biomes, which means a herd of muffalo can be a lifesaver in extremely cold biomes; two or three muffalo usually provide enough leather to make a parka as well as a gratuitous amount of meat. Their leather is a dark blue color. A Muffalo will also increase the carrying capacity of any caravan it's part of by 70 kg.

Production

Handlers are required to harvest resources from animals.

Tamed muffalo can be sheared once each 30 days for 100 muffalo wool.

Tamed females can also be milked once each 2 days for 6 milk.

Note that cows are faster milk producers and alpacas are faster wool producers.

However, neither produce both milk and wool; only Muffalo and Dromedaries produce both milk and wool. Dromedaries yield slightly less meat and are worth 450 rather than 500 silver, making Muffalo the better of the two animals that produce milk and wool.

See Animal Products for more details on how much each type of animal produces.
