Advanced components are a late game crafting material used for high-tech crafting and construction, such as building the ship to escape the planet, or to make charge rifles and marine armor.
Damage to an advanced component's HP does not affect their market value.
Acquisition
Once the Advanced Fabrication research project has been completed, you can craft advanced components at a fabrication bench. Each advanced component requires 1 component, 
20 steel, 10 plasteel, 
3 gold, and a crafting skill of 8. Since andvanced components take 2.78 minutes work to make, it is recommended to have two or more fabrication benches with skilled crafters to meet the demand for late game applications.
Advanced components can also be collected by destroying crashed ship parts or purchasing them from traders. Advanced components can only be bought from orbital traders, the Empire, and outlanders.
