Large nature shrine
A large shrine for honoring spiritual beings. Tribal psycasters can focus on this shrine while meditating to increase psyfocus gain. Nature shrines lose their power if they are close to artificial structures, so they are always built in nature. Since they look like natural objects to unobservant outsiders, raiders will generally ignore them.

A Large nature shrine is a type of furniture added by the Royalty DLC at which a pawn can meditate for recreation and to regain psyfocus.
Acquisition
The Large nature shrine can be built with 300 Stuff (Metallic/Woody/Stony, 3000 for SMVs) in 30,000 ticks (8.33 mins).
Summary
Large nature shrines are a natural meditation focus. They have a base meditation focus strength of 30%. Each animus stone within 10 tiles increases the meditation effectiveness by 2%, up to a total of 4 stones for a maximum of +8%.
Like the anima tree, its effectiveness is limited by artificial buildings within a 35 tile radius. Note that this does not include flooring and torch lamps.
Artificial items in range | 0 | 5 | 10 | 50 |
---|---|---|---|---|
Strength Offset | -0% | -6% | -12% | -22% |
N.B. It is currently unclear if the following values are cut offs, or points in a processed curve fit to those values.
The maximum meditation focus strength is thus 38% for a large nature shrine with no artificial buildings within 35 tiles and surrounded by 4 animus stones.
Large nature shrines also give +1% psyfocus / day to nearby anima trees, for a total of +4% with 4 nature shrines.
Analysis
As a natural meditation focus, the large nature shrine has +2% psyfocus / day compared to the anima tree, but does not have the anima tree linking ritual. Therefore, the anima tree is usually better for daily meditation.
The large nature shrine can be built when the anima tree is too far for natural pawns to be conveniently able to meditate at, and when the superior animus stone is unavailable. For boosting the strength of an anima tree, the small nature shrine is cheaper and gives the same amount of extra psyfocus.
