Acquisition[edit]

Baby decorations can be constructed once the Complex furniture research project has been completed. Each requires Stuff 60 Stuff (Woody/Stony/Metallic, 600 for SVMs) and 800 ticks (13.33 secs) of work modified by the construction speed of the builder and the work to build factor and offset of the material.
Baby decorations can be bought from the following traders: Orbital bulk goods trader, Outlander base trader, Outlander bulk goods trader.

Summary[edit]

Baby decoration area of effect radius.

The Baby decoration increases the amount of Play need gained when an adult plays with a baby by 10%. The bonus is multiplicative and does not stack with other baby decorations. A baby decoration only provides this bonus when it is in the same room as the baby and less than 9.9 tiles away.

Analysis[edit]

Baby decorations provide a passive bonus rather than being objects that pawns interact with. Placing them near cribs or in areas where babies are commonly played with makes it more likely that babies remain within range. The bonus can be combined with a toy box: a baby decoration and a toy box together provide 137.5% of the normal Play gain. Multiple baby decorations do not stack with each other.
