Dining chair

A dining chair is a type of furniture which your colonists can sit on. Dining chairs can be placed at tables to allow your colonists to eat there; in front of televisions to let them watch; or in front of production benches to provide comfort as they work, improving their mood and allowing them to work longer before needing a break.

Comparison

Dining chairs are mid-tier seating, providing more comfort than stools but less than armchairs. They are more time- and resource-intensive than stools, and can only be made from wood or metals, but are still affordable enough that you should eventually replace your stools with dining chairs when possible.

For times when colonists sit continuously for prolonged times, especially at production benches, it's best to use the armchair for comfort.
