Blackboard
A flat stone-like surface for writing on with chalk. Placed near a lesson desk, blackboards increase childrens' learning rate during lessons. Up to three blackboards can be used at a time.

Acquisition
Blackboards can be constructed once the Complex furniture research project has been completed. They require 15 Stuff (Woody/Stony), 1,000 ticks (16.67 secs) of work, and a [[]] skill of .
Summary
When connected to a school desk, each blackboard increases a student's Learning rate from Lesson Learning by 20%. This effect can stack up to three times per desk. A blackboard can connect to multiple desks. It does not matter which way the blackboard is facing.
Analysis
If you have a comms console and a means of going outside, then blackboards are technically unnecessary. Children can easily reach growth tier 8 with just a school desk, so long as the other learning types are available. However, these buildings still increase average growth points. Therefore, blackboards will make up for extended periods of non-Learning, such as when resting from disease.
Ironically, blackboards can actually lower a child's skill growth. While lesson learning with an adult, children will gain skill XP at a constant rate, unaffected by blackboards. But when a children reaches 100% learning, they will stop learning entirely. Blackboards speed up learning, which decreases the time spent lesson learning, which reduces skill gain.
