Mech gestation processor

Mech gestation processor

An implant which increses the speed at which a mechanitor can produce mechs in a mech gestator. The processor optimizes the behavior of the mechanites in the mech forming tank. The implant can be self-installed in the same way as the mech link. The implant can be installed up to 6 times to increase its effect.

Mech gestation processor are artificial body parts added by the Biotech DLC that increase Mech Gestation Speed of a mechanitor.

Acquisition

Mech gestation processors can be crafted at a machining table once the standard mechtech research project has been completed. Note that this research requires a signal chip to unlock. Each requires Signal chip 1 Signal chip, Component 6 Components, 3,200 ticks (53.33 secs) of work modified by the general labor speed of the crafter, and a crafting skill of 6.

Summary

Each mech gestation processor increases Mech Gestation Speed of the implanted mechanitor by +33%. Up to 6 processors can be installed in each mechanitor's brain. Each processor stacks additively as if it were +33.3̅3̅%, with the end result rounded down.

2 +66%
3 +100%
4 +133%

6 +200%

For a full breakdown of the factors affecting mech gestation speed, see Mech Gestation Speed.

Installation

Any Mechanitor with Mechlink installed, can install the Mech gestation processor by themselves, it takes roughly 3 seconds to implant, no surgery needed.
