Analysis
This section is a stub. You can help RimWorld Wiki by expanding it. Reason: General, also ghouls specifically. |
The flesh whip has slightly better dps than the elbow blade, and is free to gain (with good RNG), however it comes with several downsides. It decreases a pawns beauty by 1, and pawns without the Body Modder trait or precept will be upset by having it. It also has a high chance to spawn a fingerspike if removed in any way, but the fingerspike will be initially stunned so it is easy to dispatch.
A baseliner pawn with no modifications will get a significant boost to melee damage with 1 flesh whip, and a smaller but still worthwhile gain with 2. An adult baseliner with 0 skill in melee will have a melee dps of 2.05 with no modifications, a dps of 4.36 with 1 flesh whip, and a dps of 5.13 with 2 flesh whips.
A pawn with a Flesh Whip will have reduced appearance, which also lowers the pawn's sale value by −20%.
