Adrenal hearts are ghoul exclusive artificial body parts added by the Biotech DLC. They replace the organic heart and provide the ability to go into a frenzy with increased combat ability, at the expense of making its user require more food.

Acquisition

Adrenal hearts can be crafted at a bioferrite shaper once the ghoul enhancements research project has been completed. Note that this research requires dark study to unlock. Each requires Bioferrite 20 Bioferrite, Component 1 Component, 13,200 ticks (3.67 mins) of work modified by the general labor speed of the crafter, and a crafting skill of 4.

It can sometimes spawn on hostile ghouls,[Starter colonist?] however they cannot be harvested from them.

Summary

Hunger rate offset: +15%. This is applied as a permanent multiplier to food consumption.

Grants "Ghoul frenzy" ability, with cooldown of 0.7 hours, which gives for 15 seconds the "Ghoul frenzy" effect: x0.7 melee cooldown and +4.00 move speed.
