It is also the 4th best cold insulator in the game, and the only [[thrumbofur]] provides both superior protection and cold insulation. While its heat insulation is mediocre, it is still one of the best balanced textiles between protection and insulation and provides approximately 15% more item hit points than other leathers. It is a very good candidate for [[Duster]]s and clothing in the early game. However, outside of cold [[biomes]] it should be replaced by better materials such as [[Devilstrand]] in the mid-game, with dusters receiving priority.
