Filth Rate is a stat: How much filth this creature produces. It's best to keep filth-producing animals outdoors or on straw matting where their filth won't be a problem. Its minimum allowed value is 0. Its default value is 1.
The filth rate is set by the property of the pawn in question and has no further modifiers. It therefore effectively ranges from 1, the default value, up to 24 for elephants and megasloths.
Note that as mentioned above how much filth is actually deposited also depends on the filth multiplier of the floor, however straw matting is the only floor that has a value other than 100%.
